MFL - Spanish

We live in an increasingly global society, and we believe that learning a Modern Foreign Language is more important than ever. We want our children to be interested about a new language and the culture that can be explored through that language. At St Patrick's, children are naturally curious and enjoy learning challenges, and beginning our journey in learning Spanish together has allowed us to develop a new enthusiasm for languages: Muy bien!

At St Patrick's, we made the decision to change our MFL curriculum from French to Spanish in September 2022. This means that all children in Years 3 - 6 have begun to learn the basics of the language through the Year 3 curriculum. From September 2023, Year 3 will continue to learn the Year 3 curriculum; but Years 4, 5 and 6 will all progress to the Year 4 curriculum.
