Celebrating the Mass

We celebrate Holy Mass in school on special occasions, which provides an opportunity for our school family—children, staff, parents, and parishioners—to come together in worship.

In preparation for the liturgy, a beautifully hand-crafted wooden altar, generously made by a parishioner, is set up to create a sacred space.

As part of their liturgical formation, our Year 6 children take an active role by presenting the school banner, preparing the offertory gifts, and proclaiming the readings.  Those children who serve at Mass, help with parts of the preparation.

For the opening Mass of the school year, the Year 6 pupils also collaborated to compose the Prayers of the Faithful, demonstrating both spiritual maturity and thoughtful engagement with the themes of the celebration.

We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to celebrate special occasions of prayer in school.  Thankyou to Father Bill for allowing us to have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in school.
