"Christ in Our Hearts and Minds"

We are proud to work with all the Catholic schools across our two local authority areas, particularly as the Trust grows and benefits from the expertise and knowledge that other schools joining in the future will bring.

Living Our Mission: March Highlights

With Christ in our Hearts and Minds, we continue to seek opportunities to live out our mission...

Walking Through Lent

In Lent, we Fast, we Give and we Pray.  We are preparing our hearts for the wonder of the Easter story.

'Stay here and keep watch with me.'

 Matthew 26: 38

Big Lent Walk for Cafod

Lent 2026

We had a wonderful morning walking together as a school around our grounds.  Miss Furlong and the Bright Lights had set up the Stations of the Cross in the Woodland and it gave us a such a beautiful focus on our journey.

We Give because Christ is in Our Hearts and Minds

Thankyou to everyone who donated prizes, gave of their time to enter the competitions and who contributed towards our fundraising.  We have been raising money for both the Good Shepherd Appeal and for CAFOD and look forward to finding out our final total. We know it is important to help others in this way because it is how Jesus would want us to live.

Our Feast Day - 17th March

Thankyou to everyone who helped us celebrate on St Patrick's Day.  Father Martin led us in a beautiful Mass with our Governors, Parishioners and Families.  We welcomed a past pupil who has recently been in touch with school to find his past class mates - we put him in touch with his childhood best friend even though they left St Patrick's School 58 years ago!  As Father Martin said, "It goes to show, you are always part of the St Patrick's Family!"

Well done also to the children who sang at the Feast Day Mass in the Parish.

Lenten Celebration of the Word

Thankyou to Year 3 for their retelling of Palm Sunday; Year 4 for their wonderful reflection on the events of the Last Supper and Jesus' time in the garden of Gethsemanae and Year 5 for their beautiful Celebration of the Word showing the Stations of the Cross.  It is always very touching to see these stories told and brought to life by the children in their words, songs, actions and through dance.

Reflection

With Christ always in our hearts and minds, we continue on our mission:

Help us to serve others with love and patience;
To face challenges with resilience and faith;
To always love learning;
To be kind and respectful to others.
To contribute to a better world for all.
Keep watch and pray that you will not fall into temptation.  The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.' — Matthew 26: 41
