"Empowering and inspiring all children to become life-long learners"

We are proud to work with all the Catholic schools across our two local authority areas, particularly as the Trust grows and benefits from the expertise and knowledge that other schools joining in the future will bring.

Living Our Mission: September Highlights

This September, we embraced the Jubilee Year theme: Opening the Door to Those Who Help Others. In the spirit of thanks and service, our KS2 pupils volunteered their lunch times and created 100 heartfelt cards for NHS workers, which were delivered by a group of own little missionaries.  We were very excited to receive messages of thanks reminding us of the power of kindness and connection.

We also worked on cards and gifts for our amazing support staff in celebration of National Teaching Assistant Day.

“Serve one another humbly in love.” — Galatians 5:13

Our youngest children in Key Stage 1 received a special visit from our KS2 Bright Lights, who introduced them to the idea that Jesus is their friend when they delivered baskets of play figures for Jesus and his Disciples. It is wonderful to see the children using creative activities to begin to understand discipleship in a simple but joyful way.

“Let the little children come to me.” — Matthew 19:14

We marked the Exaltation of the Holy Cross by decorating beautiful cross designs and reflecting on what the cross means to each of us. These personal expressions of faith helped deepen our understanding of Christ’s sacrifice and love.

On the International Day of Peace, our school became a haven of hope. Pupils wrote peace prayers on dove templates, expressing their dreams for a more compassionate world. These doves now flutter around Mission Control, reminding us daily of our commitment to peace.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

In the spirit of interfaith understanding, we also celebrated Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Pupils made cards and tasted sweet apples dipped in honey, learning about the significance of renewal and hope in Jewish tradition.  Shana Tovah!

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” — Psalm 133:1

Reflection

As we journey through this school year, we are reminded that faith is not just something we speak about—it is something we live. Each prayer, each act of kindness, each celebration is a step closer to understanding God’s love and sharing it with others.

Let us continue to open doors—to those who help, to those in need, and to one another. May our school be a place where the light of Christ shines brightly in every heart.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” — John 10:10
